CNN: Dr. Sanjay Gupta Out as Surgeon General
According to Wolf Blitzed, Gupta wants to continue his career, has a baby on the way and has withdrawn his name to spend more time with his family. Waiting to hear something about taxes.

Looks like the rats are recognizing the soon-to-be- Sinking Socialist-Sinking known as “the Obama”!
Let’s be analytical here: The SG position has little power, little name and pays very little.
The only time you remember an SG is when they make attrocious statements or sell life insurance on TV after they retire.
DR, Gupta is over qualified, young, has a fabulous career ahead of him, and if I guess right makes may by 10 – 12 mill. $ a year.
Would any one give that up for 4, possibily 8 years? I would not, and nor would anyone in Dr. Gupta’s position (and age).
If he had been offered the position as head of CDCs, I’m sure he would have taken the offer. At least the CDC does something.
I would have done the same thing.
…and he wouldn’t be able to help companies take away American jobs to India…I saw a whole program the other day on how cheap operations are in India. Why can’t India survive without taking away American jobs?
Thank goodness the good doctor didn’t take any position with this nut in the Whitehouse. He is a doctor – they take an oath to care for their patients dutifully. My best friend is a surgeon-he says that this man eventually will try to destroy the health care as we know it now. Dr. Gupta didn’t want to be part of an administration that will not let doctor’s take the best care that they are trained and wanted to do to help the sick. Bless his heart and I congratulate him for being the good doctor he is and that he wants to spend time with his new baby that is coming and with his family.

Hey shafi, your asshole has plunged this nation into debt that you and I will never see the end of. It didn’t take him six years either. The problem is you and your ilk want someone to make it all better, politicians have never made anything better except for themselves and the power brokers that put them in office. Obama is doing exactly what he is told, and thats the name of that tune. Unless you are a wall st banker, detroit auto exec, or a huge multi national contractor building roads and bridges, you ain’t gonna see any of your tax dollars again. So when China calls in their marker and we all have to leave this fucked up country, be sure to put the blame where it belongs.

Dr. Gupta was exactly the way I envisioned him-money hungry and starved for fame. He is not a doctor for the people, but rather out for the fame and fortune he is given on t.v. I would have thought highly of him serving his country for the President, bujt rather than take a paycut that all Americans are having to undergo right now, he decides he’s rather settle for fame. I ask you, is this a doctor for his patients, or a doctor looking out for the best interest of himself. Why would he not want to serve the same country that gave him all the fortune and notriety he has been given? I think this sheds a whole new light on the infamous Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
At the end, Dr. Sanjay showed his true colors…green…in MONEY.
Sanjay is nothing more than a token indian to have in obama’s “peace” cabinet. He is no more qualified than that moron Tim Geitner. God help us all!
