I hardly ever "moderate" comments on this blog, but why do some people think that writing in all caps is a good thing? It's annoying and makes things hard to read. Anonymous - writing in all caps is like shouting. Why are yelling?

Dear John, I do not know on what ground you rejected the testimony of people who saw Jesus after his resurrection and accepted the ideas of people who rejected God.
Mahomet and Budda are still in their graves, but the grave ogf Jesus is empty! Why? because God rose him from the death! And this if the final proof for Jesus credibility.

I once was also drifting towards atheism. I was aware that I had broken His commandments and wished that he did not exist. However, by reading the Bible, I came to know quite different image of God that I had had before. I realized that He forgives on the ground of faith in the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the cross of Calvary. It gives me peace and motivation for life!

LET US CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR PRESIDENT OBAMA FOR WISDOM, AND INSIGHT FOR EVERY DAY. THE NATION IS IN DEEP FINANCIAL CRISES AND IF YOU READ THE PAPERS OR SAW THE NEWS THEIR ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE CHOOSING TO WIPE OUT THEIR FAMILIES. THESE ARE DESPERATE TIMES AND PEOPLE ARE CHOOSING DESPERATE MEASURES.
LET US LEND A HELPING HAND AND PRAY FOR OUR NATION AND ITS PEOPLE. WE NEED EACH OTHER. GOD BLESS YOU AND MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS AMERICA AND FAVOR HER AGAIN.

It’s important to note that in the official text of Mr Warren’s prayer on his church website only the first part of the Jewish SHEMA is in quotation marks - “Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God”. The next phrase is printed as follows - The Lord is One, and You are the compassionate and Merciful One and You are loving to everyone You have made. This virtually Jesuitical phrasing was designed to infer that the Jewish ‘Lord and God’ is also the same ‘Lord and God’ of Islam and Christianity - NOT TRUE!
My full assessment of this prayer can be viewed on

I'm very sorry, Pastor Warren, but Mr Barrack Obama is not the son of an African immigrant. His father, a Kenyan, was a foreign student at University of Hawaii at M?noa, where he met Ann Durham (Barrack's mother). Mr Obama senior went back to Kenya soon after the couple divorced three years after the marriage. This does not make Mr Obama senior an immigrant.

Thank you Jerzy for responding to my comment, and to the site's administration for allowing the post to remain for others to read. Jerzy, I'm a little puzzled that you feel that 'eternal life' is something to strive for. But apart from that, your faith is based on the writings of ancient, simple folk, which, in turn, was based on word of mouth, and it would be very unusual for there not to have been some exageration in the telling. The stories contradict what science has proven to be true. Why believe in something passed on to you by ignorant foreign shepherds, who had no idea how you would be living your life in the 21st century? Don't get me wrong. Although I don't believe in Gods, (any of the thousands of different versions available), I can see the help that passing the buck onto some hidden higher authority can give to the lonely or desperate, but there are surely better ways that we can help each other. We have to stand on our own two feet and accept responsibility for ourselves and each other. Kind regards, John

THE DAILY BLADE: A Day Of Firsts Celebrated By Second-Rate Festivities...

So does a $170 million price tag buy you the bestest inauguration ceremony in the history of these United States of America? Surprisingly, no. It was a day of mediocrity and mess-ups: People are talking about Aretha Franklin’s hat.

I want to comment on what John White wrote. There are truths that are above time. In the ancient times 1 plus 1 equaled 2. Today it is the same. In ancient times people were sinners and believed in the Savior, that was to come. Today people are sinners and believe in the Savior that did come! In the ancient times people needed hope for eternal life. Today they need the same hope and this hope can become true only in the person of Jesus Christ.
I am very grateful to God that he gave courage to Rick Warren to pray in the name of Jesus for Pesident Obama, his family and the Cabinet. America, repent and return to the Bible, andf than God will bless you again.
