Palin’s Personal Email Hacked – News Coverage
C2 has been pretty skeptical of Sarah Palin, but that’s mainly for her politics. Tonight, though I have to say that she’s been greatly wronged. Hackers gained access to her Yahoo account and uncovered items such as young Bristol Palin’s cellphone number and the “First Dude’s” personal email address. Privacy rights are not something that Republicans generally have stood up for over the last eight years, but that doesn’t excuse the hacking or the publicizing of what was hacked.
Now that we’ve had a look at the personal inbox of Palin, we know that she’s transacting some state business through personal, rather than public channels. That’s a no-no and a breach of the public’s trust. Alaskans should be upset about this and it should give all Americans even more pause over this political gimmick of a veep candidate.

That “gimmick” has more executive experience than all 3 other candidates combined, and is easily one of the top experts on energy policy – at a time of energy crisis – in the country. Some gimmick.

Joe, I will feel a lot safer with McCain. I dont like war either but we haven’t been his since 9-11. While we are playing nice and trying to have tea with Iran, they are going to build an arsenal and bomb Israel. It was 8 years between the TWO attacks on the world trade center. Al Qaeda is very patient. The lack of successful attack on American soil in 7 years does not mean we have them on the run and are safer. Ask the Spanish, ask the English, ask everyone else who is now a target who were not before we invaded Iraq and who HAVE been attacked in the last 8 years.
The lack of an attack in 8 years here does NOT mean Bush has made us safer – in fact, the NSA, CIA and Military Threat Assessment all agree and specifically SAY we are LESS safe as a result of our invasion of Iraq, which McCain has enthusiastically supported from day 1 thru today. See:

The fact is the US is already a tax haven for corporations, mainly because they have been writing the tax laws that for 6 of the last 7 years Republicans signed into law, in exchange for campaign contributions.
The US tax rate is already among the LOWEST in the world.
25 years ago, corporations paid 25% of all taxes paid in the US. Today its around 7%. The government is not spending less, so who do you think is paying the bill for the corporations? Whats left of the middle class is being crushed by carrying the corporate tax burden.

Ive read some of the comments made here. SOme I agree with and others, well I am not so sure of. What makes this country the greatest nation in the world is our freedoms, choices. Some forget those freedoms and choices were and are still defended by a military that is THE GREATEST MILITARY in the world. We are not running a popularity contest here. Who cares if Iran doesnt like us? There are people who do not like us period. No matter what we say or do.Iran is a threat to the entire world, not just the USA, and if not taken seriously, well lets just say, anyone who promotes suicide bombing and the likes of are just plain lunatics. And now they are enriching uranium. What for? A picnic? No, to detroy the world if they can. That is their goal.
