“It’s a monster” Current AG Office Says of Request
Breaking news tonight out of Dann Land. Former Ohio AG Marc Dann has filed a public records request with his old office – for everything. Reported in the Youngstown Vindicator and and WFMJ TV Tuesday night, Dann wants it all. Dann’s former spokesman, Jim Gravelle (no, silly, not Leo Jennings) said of the request: “It’s a monster.”
This is just one more chapter in the bitter break-up of the frat house that Marc built. Mistakenly slipped into the request was a note meant for Jessica Utovich. It read: “I want my records back.”
This is irony upon irony. Marc Dann, crusading Senator, became known as the public records poster boy with his unceasing requests of the Taft administration. Fast forward to Dann in office and I don’t think you’ll find a single member of the Ohio media who ever felt their public records requests were treated with as much attention or alacrity as Dann expected of others. One of the classic stalling tactics used by Dann was the old – can you be more specific – that ’s a rather broad request. Now, we find Marc making the broadest request in Ohio’s recorded history.
I have a feeling that when the current interim AG, or more likely her successor delivers Marc’s junk, they’ll use this vehicle:
